I bought the car in April '04 and had the paint and graphics work done. A 911 GT3 Cup Car in Germany in Excellence Magazine was the inspiration for the design. I wanted the colors to be the same as the German Flag since Uberklasse specializes in fine German Autos.
I had never even driven a 944 until I drove this car on the Streets of Willow. What it lacks in Horsepower (approx. 130) it makes up for in handling and balance. I still have a long way to go to get it where some of the other cars in the class are.
Plans for '05 are:
30mm Torsion Bars....need to lower the car at least 3 inches! Right now it has stock torsion bars and looks like a Rally Car!
Limited Slip Differential. Not sure if I will try to change the gearing to the short 5th gear, but I will put in the LSD for sure. The shorter 5th would really help at Willow and California Speedway (I have never been on) as the overdrive drops the rpms down to 4,000.
Smaller Battery-will save weight up high. I have to wait until all the electrical issues are resolved though.
Sparco Suede Steering Wheel. Not going to make me faster, but I drove with one in Pete Yousko's car and really liked it.
